Weight: approx 5.5lb
Size: approx 18 inches from head to heel (the size of a honeydew melon)
Due Date: 09 July 2016
Movement: Movements are still as frequent but more intense than before. There is very little space left for her to move so I am often seeing an elbow or foot poking out of my side. She is head down but has not engaged yet. My midwife said that second babies (and so on) generally do not engage until labour.
Weight gain: +2lb = Total of 15lb
Food Cravings: None really, I haven't really wanted much of anything apart from junk. I went for a midwife check up today and she found a +1 of glucose in my urine sample which has prompted a glucose tolerance test that should be taking place early next week. It could well be because I have been eating a lot of junk which is something I really need to change - I normally eat pretty well and I don't have any excuses as I love everything!
Feeling: A bit nervous, I really don't want to go for this Glucose tolerance test and I also have an appointment at the breast clinic this week. A few weeks ago I found a few lumps in one of my breasts and the Dr wasn't too sure what to make of them so has referred me especially with my family history - my auntie has just died from terminal cancer. It could just be that I have blocked milk ducts from when Dexter was feeding. I stopped feeding him a few months ago but from 8 months old onwards he refused to feed from the breast that has the lumps. I am hoping it is something simple like that. I'll know more next Thursday.
What's happening this week?
- New Carpet being measured for in our bedroom! Sam has finished painting and there are new floorboards going down as I speak. Hopfully by the end of next week my bed will be up and I will no longer be sleeping on a mattress on the floor!! (It's getting really difficult to get up now! Especially at 4am when I need a wee haha)
