There's something magical about watching a toddler playing in the bath. Dexter has always been a water baby and I think that is largely due to the swimming classes we attending when he was younger. There are some fantastic baby swim schools around and the one we chose was run by such a lovely and patient lady - it can't be easy running a class with 12 or so screaming babies! Dexter loved his swim lessons until he got to about 8 or 9 months and then our weekly lessons became more of a struggle rather than an enjoyment of under water swimming, he much preferred the one on one with mummy or daddy without being dunked.

These photo's were taken at our local outdoor children's swimming pool that's less than a 10 minute drive from our new house. The weather has been so lovely in the evening that we decided to pop over for a quick walk and maybe a little paddle. The water was absolutely freezing but Dex still dipped his feet in even if it was only for a few seconds at a time. There was another family there that had obviously been there a while and seemed to be enjoying splashing about. It's moments like this that I feel we need to stop and appreciate. We may only have been there for half an hour or so but that half an hour was pretty magical. I love watching Dexter with his Daddy, it's such a magical bond and I'm excited to see it grow as Dexter grows up.
